This large project was planned to to plant wildflower bulbs on the sides of the roadside mounds facing Fryent Way.
The aim is to create colourful roadside banks of wildflowers that will flower at low cutting heights. The faces of the mounds will continue to be mown.
Under the National Sewa Day event on 21 November 2010) volunteers were organised by the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh - Edgware,
Some of these volunteers are regular walkers in the park on summer Saturdays, others were making their first visit.
Thank you to the volunteers. As a result of your hard work there will be wild daffodils adding colour next Spring to the mounds on either side of Fryent Way. You also planted bluebells among some of the fruit trees on the park side of the mounds.
Volunteers are welcome to join our regular projects.
