 Ringlet at Great Hillcroach (2016)

FRYENT COUNTRY PARK AND BEANE HILL BUTTERFLY SUMMARY 2017
Overall there were relatively low numbers for many species. The better news is that this was the second highest year to date for the Meadow Brown on both transects, with Beane Hill having been higher only in 1989 and the main FCP transect in 1991.
Gatekeepers also had their best year to date on the main FCP transect.
This was the second year for Ringlets on the transect and the numbers were much higher on the Beane Hill transect (and there were also some on the FCP transect) and they were also observed off the transects elsewhere in the Park.
And while they didn't register on the transect walks, the Marbled White probably had its best year locally to date. One park user noted many rising one morning, though numbers had dispersed by late that morning. There were also other records of the Marbled White.
